Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to blurpage.online (the “Site”), purchases in our shop, and use of the BlurPage browser extension (the “Extension”), together the “Service”.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What BlurPage provides

BlurPage lets you add privacy masks (blur or pixelate) on live web pages, keep masks across reloads on the same URL, and capture screenshots of masked areas on your device. Masking and screenshots are processed locally in your browser unless you choose to contact us for support.

The Extension runs on ordinary http/https pages. Built-in browser pages (e.g. chrome://, extension store pages) are not supported.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or 13 where applicable).

If you create a WooCommerce account on the Site, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

4. Plans (Free, Professional, Startup)

Plans and prices are shown on blurpage.online. Current offerings, subject to change:

Free — $0, no license key:

  • up to 3 click redactions and 1 drag area mask per page;
  • pixelate, blur, floating toolbar, undo/redo;
  • drag-to-screenshot with preview.

Professional — paid yearly license (e.g. $19 per year as listed on the Site):

  • unlimited click and area masks;
  • up to 5 active browsers per license (activation limit enforced by our license system);
  • same screenshot and toolbar features as Free;
  • license remains valid for the purchased term (typically one year from purchase/activation rules shown at checkout), then must be renewed.

Startup — paid lifetime license (e.g. $29 one-time as listed on the Site):

  • unlimited click and area masks;
  • up to 10 active browsers per license;
  • same screenshot and toolbar features as Free;
  • “Lifetime” means for the commercial life of the BlurPage product/service, not your lifetime—see Section 14 if we discontinue the Service.

Professional and Startup require a valid license key from our shop. When your key is active and valid, free-tier mask limits do not apply. We may adjust plan limits, prices, or features with reasonable notice on the Site or in the Extension.

5. License keys

  • License keys are personal or organizational use only as permitted by your plan. Do not publish, resell, or share keys except within your allowed activation limit.
  • Activation uses your key and a device/browser activation token—see our Privacy Policy. Professional allows up to 5 active browsers; Startup allows up to 10. Contact support if you need to free a slot before activating on a new browser.
  • Professional keys expire after the yearly term unless renewed. Startup keys do not expire on a yearly cycle but remain subject to these Terms and service availability. Keys may be revoked if obtained fraudulently, abused, or shared in violation of these Terms.
  • You are responsible for storing your key. We are not liable for lost keys sent only to email you mistyped at checkout.

6. Purchases and payment

Prices and plans are shown on the Site. Payment is processed by Creem.io (and related checkout flows). We do not store full payment card numbers on blurpage.online.

After a successful purchase, license delivery is typically by email and/or your WooCommerce account. Ensure your email address is correct before paying.

7. Refunds

Professional and Startup licenses are digital goods. Unless required by applicable consumer law:

  • Refunds may be considered within 1 day of purchase if you contact support@blurpage.online with your order details and the license key has not been activated, or if there is a proven technical failure we cannot resolve.
  • We generally do not refund after a key has been activated, except where the law requires it.
  • Chargebacks without contacting us first may result in license revocation.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to conceal illegal activity;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Extension, license API, or Site;
  • circumvent free-tier or Pro limits (e.g. tampering with client-side checks);
  • overload or disrupt our servers or third-party sites;
  • misrepresent that redacted screenshots are “official” or approved by third parties.

Redaction is your responsibility. Masks and screenshots may not hide all sensitive data (e.g. dynamic content, multiple tabs, or metadata). Always review images before sharing.

9. Intellectual property

BlurPage name, branding, Site content, and Extension software are owned by Blur Page or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Extension and Site for personal or internal business use according to these Terms and your plan.

You retain rights to content you create (e.g. screenshots). You must respect third-party rights on pages you mask (copyright, trademarks, terms of those websites).

10. Third-party services and websites

The Service may link to or interact with third parties (browsers, Creem, hosting, pages you visit). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Your use of those services is subject to their terms.

11. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT MASKS WILL PREVENT ALL DATA LEAKS OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLUR PAGE AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE LICENSE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blur Page from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site, shop, or license validation if you breach these Terms or for operational or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the Extension. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive termination.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change for material updates. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. For material changes, we may also post a notice on the Site.

16. General

  • Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the main agreement between you and Blur Page regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If one provision is invalid, the rest remain in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the Service.
  • Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of blurpage.online, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the operator’s principal place of business have exclusive jurisdiction where permitted; consumers in mandatory local law jurisdictions may have additional rights.
