Sharing a screenshot of a webpage sounds harmless—until a customer email, API token, or employee ID slips into Slack, a tutorial, or a Zoom demo.
Blur Page Extension Chrome lets you mask sensitive information on the live webpage first, then capture a safe screenshot with redactions already baked in. No uploads, no cloud editing—everything runs locally in your browser.
What Is Blur Page Extension Chrome?
Blur Page is a Chrome extension built for one workflow: mask private data on real websites, then screenshot only what’s safe to share.
Unlike photo editors you use after capture, BlurPage works on the page itself. You click or drag to hide emails, IDs, tokens, avatars, or entire dashboard rows—then drag a capture region when you’re ready.
Key facts at a glance:
- Works on regular http and https websites
- Masks persist after reload
- 100% local processing—your page content stays on your device
- Click masks, area masks, pixelate, blur, toolbar, undo/redo, and drag screenshot
Note: Built-in Chrome pages (
chrome://, Web Store, etc.) are not supported.
